Early Life and Career
DJ LightChild, born Richard Lee Chandler on June 21, 1988, is an American DJ and producer of electronic dance music. Although he has used other aliases in the past, he is best known for his work as DJ LightChild.
In 2007 Richard enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he teamed up with a DJ and producer form the Ukraine. Together they collaborated to create three different tracks. Before leaving the Marines in 2008, he was given the name LightChild. After leaving the Marines he began his solo career.
In 2010 DJ LightChild finished his first solo album PeaceWarLoveHate. He also moved to Waco Texas, where he still resides. In early 2011 LightChild began a new album before getting married that May. Later that year he was invited to play at a live event called EDML. The event was broadcasted online. After the event he finally finished his second solo album, DRIVEN.
During 2012 he began to think of witch direction he wanted to take his career, deciding to take things to a more professional level. That November DJ LightChild put out a thirty minute long mega-mix demo album, Club Style Mega-Mix. Shortly after he began work on his third solo album and his very first mixtape.

Currently, DJ LIghtChild is working on his monthly podcast on Mixcloud as well as broadcasting his DJ events live online using Ustream. He is also constantly producing new mixes and singles, witch are uploaded to Soundcloud. One of his biggest projects is his first music video that will be posted to Youtube later this year. Along with the video he will be releasing his third solo album and first mixtape, a two year project.
